Nepal Starts Strong in Kava Women’s Nations Volleyball League

Kathmandu, Aug 1: Nepal has made a successful start in the Kava Women’s Nations Volleyball League.

In the opening match held at the National Sports Council (Rakhep) in Tripureshwar on Thursday, Nepal defeated Sri Lanka 3-0 in straight sets. Nepal won the first set 25-19, the second set 25-18, and the third set 25-19.

Sumitra Regmi and Aarti Subedi made their debut for Nepal.

The tournament features teams from Nepal, Iran, India, Sri Lanka, and the Maldives. After the round-robin league, the semi-finals will take place on July 22 between the first and fourth, and the second and third teams in the points table. The final and third place match will be held on July 23.
