60 German NGOs join hands to help Nepal in COVID response

Kathmandu, May 14. A large group of Germany-based non-government organizations (NGOs) has shown interest in sending medical supplies to Nepal under humanitarian assistance. 

During a webinar organized by German- Nepal Friendship Association, Nepal’s Ambassador to Germany, Ram Kaji Khadka mentioned the need and shortage of medical equipment including oxygen cylinders, Ventilators, Intensive care units. 

Khadka also expressed that the government of Nepal is seeking international support from countries including Germany. 

Representatives from 60 German NGOs had attended the donation-seeking webinar. The participants showed interest in helping Nepal with medical supplies and requested the governments of the two countries to arrange flights for the shipment.
