Kathmandu, 27 February: Professor Shridhar Khatri has been appointed as Nepal’s Ambassador to the United States by President Bidya Devi Bhandari.
On the suggestion of the Council of Ministers, the President of Nepal designated Professor Khatri as the ambassador today. He was appointed in accordance with Article 282 of the Nepalese Constitution.
Professor Khatri’s appointment as Ambassador to the United States was approved by the Council of Ministers on October 28. He is the former executive director of the Institute of Foreign Affairs.
