Kathmandu, March 20. Russian forces have pushed deeper into Ukraine as they continue their attacks. Many civilians, including women and children have been forced into Russia by the Russian forces.
On Saturday, the city council said in a statement, “Over the past week, several thousand Mariupol residents were deported on to the Russian territory”. The claims, however are not independently verified.
Ukrainian President Zelenskyy said in a video address that it is a “terror that will be remembered for centuries to come”.
A police officer in Mariupol pleaded for help from US and France. He requested for modern air defense supplies to be provided. Moreover, he added as US and France promised help, they should give them the help.
Additionally, pressure on China mounts as China has not condemned Russia’s move. However, Chinese vice foreign minister, Le Yucheng said that the western sanctions were “outrageous” and that sanctions cannot solve problems.
