PM Deuba and Indian counterpart Modi hold talks
Four MoUs have been signed by Nepal and India

Kathmandu, April 2. Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi held bilateral talks on Saturday.
The two leaders have signed four MoUs in different sectors for cooperation including energy, petroleum and railway.
Both inaugurated the Solu Corridor 132KV transmission line and the Kurtha-Jaynagar railway. Furthermore, Nepal joined the International Solar Alliance.
Additionally, RuPay card, an Indian financial service and payment system was launched in Nepal from today. Proposals for exporting electricity into India along with more Indian investments in the hydropower sector was agreed upon.
Indian PM Modi said that Nepal-India relations are unique and not seen anywhere in the world. PM Deuba also thanked Modi for India’s continuous support during the covid pandemic.
At the end of the joint press conference, PM Deuba said that he has requested PM Modi to resolve the border dispute between the two states through bilateral mechanisms.
Earlier in the day, before visiting Hyderabad House for a delegation level meeting, PM Deuba paid visit to Raj Ghat. He laid a wreath on the memorial of Mahatma Gandhi.
