Zelensky, Putin invited to G20 summit: Indonesian President

Kathmandu, April 29. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Russian President Vladimir Putin are invited for the G20 Summit by host nation Indonesia President Joko Widodo.
Widodo confirmed that Putin will be attending the event on Friday. Putin confirmed he will be attending the event through a phone call with Widodo.
The war in Ukraine has put upon a lot of pressure to Indonesia to bar Russia from attending the event. But host Indonesia said that they must remain impartial. Hence, US President Biden suggested to invite Ukraine to the summit.
Further, Zelenskyy confirmed his invitation to the summit through a tweet.
Russia is a member of G20 while Ukraine is not. The G20 summit will be held in November.
