Kathmandu, May 7. Prince Harry, Duchess of Sussex Meghan and Prince Andrew will not be a part of the platinum jubilee celebrations of Queen Elizabeth II, according to Buckingham Palace. They will not be at the palace balcony when the queen will greet public on June 2.
The palace said Friday, “After careful consideration, the queen has decided this year’s traditional Trooping the Colour balcony appearance on Thursday 2nd June will be limited to Her Majesty and those members of the royal family who are currently undertaking official public duties on behalf of the queen.”
Further, rumors were rife on whom will be attending the event as family tensions and public scandals has been surrounding the family. Prince Andrew was accused of sexual exploitation by a woman. Then, he stepped down from his royal duties following the controversy.
However, Prince Harry kept open the possibility of a balcony appearance to celebrate the queen’s 70th year on the throne. But, the statement from the palace has made it clear that he won’t be a part of the celebrations. His elder brother, Prince William and his family will be a part of the celebrations.
