Kathmandu May 31. Freshly elected representatives of the Kathmandu Metropolitan City seated their first executive meeting on Monday.
In the meeting, Mayor Balendra Shah decided to organize a five-member task team to investigate waste management issues in the capital city. The task force will be led by Mayor and the deputy Sunita Dangol.
The representatives also agreed to work with hotels, restaurants, and gas stations to provide free public toilets. “The metropolitan office will put up signboards to mark free toilets brought into operation through collaboration with private businesses,” Shah noted.
