Kathmandu, November 16. A missile that hit Poland early Wednesday has killed two people. While initially Poland said it was fired from Russia, later found out it was mistakenly fired from Ukraine.

Polish President Andrzej Duda said, “Ukraine’s defense was launching their missiles in various directions and it is highly probable that one of these missiles unfortunately fell on Polish territory.” Further NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg also said their findings revealed that it was not an intentional attack.

Earlier, world leaders of G7 and NATO met on the sidelines of the G20 Summit post the missile attack. US President Joe Biden also had said that the missile might not have been struck from Russia.

Moreover, initial investigations from US officials have revealed the Ukrainian officials intended to strike at an incoming Russian missile. But, had Russia targeted Poland, it would mean dragging NATO into the war.
