Kathmandu, Oct 3: Due to a significant rise in the number of air passengers, several airlines have increased their domestic flights. Buddha Air has added two flights each to Bhadrapur and Bharatpur, as it currently operates around 150 daily two-way flights across various destinations.

Shree Airlines is set to begin flights on the Kathmandu-Bharatpur-Kathmandu route starting Friday, initially as chartered flights before transitioning to regular service. Similarly, Yeti Airlines has added one flight each to the Kathmandu-Bhadrapur and Kathmandu-Nepalgunj routes from October 15th and a flight to Kathmandu-Janakpur from October 18th.

The increase in air travel demand comes after road traffic disruptions due to heavy rains, floods, and landslides. On Wednesday, Tribhuvan International Airport recorded 182 domestic and 52 international flights, with over 33,000 passengers using the service. Airlines are responding to this increased demand by adding more flights to ensure passengers reach their destinations smoothly.
