Mahendranagar (Dhanusha), June 6: Nepali Congress President and former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has criticized the repeated obstruction of Parliament, calling it an insult to public opinion and a threat to political stability.

Speaking at a memorial event held in Dhanushadham, Dhanusha, to mark the 62nd memorial day of late NC leader Thakur Prasad Dhungana, Deuba defended the legitimacy of the current coalition government and said it was formed in line with the constitution.

“Creating instability by disrupting parliamentary proceedings is not just politically irresponsible, it also disrespects the people’s mandate,” Deuba stated.

Addressing recent debates around the fiscal year 2082-83 budget, Deuba described the government’s financial plan as balanced, inclusive, and production-oriented. He emphasized that the budget focuses on development, employment, and inclusive planning, and expressed confidence in its potential to drive overall economic growth.
