Single sessions only in Supreme Court due to Covid-19
Kathmandu. The Supreme Court has limited its operations to single sessions due to the global pandemic. Devendra Dahal, co-spokesperson of the court, stated that the court was conducting only one session after some judges and employees were found to be infected. He also mentioned that they were currently in home-isolation.
Prior to this, there were single, joint and large sessions at the court. Only Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher JB Rana and judge Dr. Manoj Kumar Sharma, are at their workplace with Dr. Sharma’s single session in operation.
Joint Spokesperson Dahal informed that for the time being, only writ petitions, preliminary hearings and non-negotiable petitions will be heard from a single sitting.
