Major Road Upgradation Project Begins in Myagdi

Myagdi, March 4: The upgradation of the Darwang-Takam-Shiwang-Takam-Muna-Jaljala-Dhorpatan road, an alternative route to the Baglung section of the Mid-Hill Highway, has moved forward with an investment of Rs 1 billion.
The Infrastructure Development Office has already laid black asphalt and worked on slopes in the Darwang-Dharapani and Jhindada-Muna sections using Rs 920 million. Office Chief Bishnu Prasad Poudel stated that a tender was announced on Monday following the completion of the survey, cost estimate, and detailed project report.
This project, funded jointly by the federal and state governments with Rs 120 million each for the current fiscal year, is the largest infrastructure project in Myagdi under the Gandaki Province budget. The target is to deploy contractors and begin work this year.
