Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore to Return from Space After Nine Months

Kathmandu, March 15: SpaceX has successfully launched a new rocket to the International Space Station (ISS) to bring back NASA astronauts Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore, who have been stranded in space for the past nine months due to technical issues.
Williams and Wilmore had traveled to the ISS on Boeing’s Starliner spacecraft on June 5, 2024, for a test mission that was supposed to last only eight days. However, due to technical malfunctions, their return was delayed.
NASA’s Commercial Crew Program Manager Steve Stitch expressed relief and excitement about the mission. “Butch and Sunita have done an excellent job, and we are eager to get them back safely,” he said.
The newly launched team will reach the ISS in two days, after which Williams and Wilmore will begin their journey back to Earth.
