Kathmandu, April 27: In an emergency meeting, Nepali Congress Chief Whip Shyam Kumar Ghimire demanded an apology from RPP Chairman Rajendra Lingden for making false allegations linking a Nepali Congress minister to the Bhatbhateni robbery case in Koteshwar. Ghimire requested that Lingden’s speech be removed from the official record, claiming it humiliated the Nepali Congress.
During the session, several MPs raised pressing national concerns:
- MP Saraj Ahmed Farooqui condemned a terrorist attack on India’s initiative and demanded strict action against those responsible.

- MP Sher Bahadur Kunwar raised concerns about the increasing number of fire incidents in Achham and called for compensation for the victims.
- MP Tara Lama demanded action against the murderers of Harikrishnan Rana in Beldandi Rural Municipality and urged the government to address teachers’ demands practically.
