Kathmandu, April 27: In an emergency meeting, Nepali Congress Chief Whip Shyam Kumar Ghimire demanded an apology from RPP Chairman Rajendra Lingden for making false allegations linking a Nepali Congress minister to the Bhatbhateni robbery case in Koteshwar. Ghimire requested that Lingden’s speech be removed from the official record, claiming it humiliated the Nepali Congress.

During the session, several MPs raised pressing national concerns:

• MP Saraj Ahmed Farooqui condemned a terrorist attack on India’s initiative and demanded strict action against those responsible.
• MP Shakti Bahadur Basnet criticized the government for focusing excessively on appointments instead of addressing the legitimate demands of teachers.
• MP Ramhari Khatiwada called for intensified search and rescue efforts for Bipin Joshi, a Nepali citizen missing in Israel.
• MP Thakur Prasad Gaire condemned the terrorist attack that killed 26 people in Jammu and Kashmir, India.
• MP Ramkrishna Yadav expressed sorrow over the death of Pavitra Sah and her three daughters in Shahidnagar Municipality, Dhanusha, and demanded a thorough investigation.
• MP Sher Bahadur Kunwar raised concerns about the increasing number of fire incidents in Achham and called for compensation for the victims.
• MP Tara Lama demanded action against the murderers of Harikrishnan Rana in Beldandi Rural Municipality and urged the government to address teachers’ demands practically.
