High praise for Nepali Army from PM Oli at the ‘Division Commander’s Conference’
Kathmandu. Addressing the ‘Division Commander’s Conference’ of the Nepali Army on Sunday, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli expressed admiration for the Nepali Army. In the conference, the prime minister, also looking after the Ministry of Defense, praised the Nepali Army for its role in maintaining peace and security in the country and collaborating in the fight against COVID-19.
“Nepali Army’s role in the prevention and control of COVID-19 and in rescue operations during natural calamities like landslides and floods are highly commendable,” PM Oli said. “I hold ‘Operation Save Nampha’, an endeavor of the Nepali Army to secure lives of people in Sindhupalchowk, in high esteem.”
Prime Minister Oli also praised Nepali Army for constructing a trail to link Chhangru to the mainland of Darchula.
The prime minister said that Nepali Army has a glorious history and its present is reliable and trustworthy and he lauded the programs for transformation of the army initiated by COAS Gen. Purna Chandra Thapa.
He wished for the success of the conference and hoped that it would be able to trace out proper guidance and working policy for the future
