Salt Lake City, Utah. On Wednesday, while the Utah Department of Public Safety employees in a helicopter were counting bighorn sheep for the Wildlife Resource Division, the pilots discovered a mysterious monolith in the base of red rocks.

A monolith is a large tall block of stone, especially one that was put in place in ancient times, possibly for religious reasons.

One of the pilots, Bret Hutchings described the monolith as a shiny 10-12 feet metal block protruding from the ground in the base of red rocks, that seem as if it was carefully planted for some unknown purpose. It was made from some sort of metal.

“That’s been about the strangest thing that I’ve come across out there in all my years of flying. It looked more like a man-made object than any kind of alien life form,” said Hutchings.
