Kathmandu, December 20. Astronomers have been researching for alien life that could exist in a nearby star, Proxima Centauri. Proxima Centauri is a star nearby the sun, from where radio signals were received last year.

According to an article in The Guardian, a narrow beam of around 980MHz has been heard lately, after which scientists have been searching if life exists in space. It is also said that it is the most serious signal received from the “Wow! signal”. The “Wow! signal” is also a radio signal that was picked up in Ohio in 1977.

Pete Worden, the former director of Nasa’s Ames Research Center, said, “The Breakthrough Listen team has detected several unusual signals and is carefully investigating. These signals are likely interference that we cannot yet fully explain. Further analysis is currently being undertaken.” He also says that if there exists a life, it would have spread across the galaxy, adding that it is hard to imagine such an existence of life and climate, but he would loved to be proved wrong.
