World Champion Palistha honored
Kathmandu. World champion Muay Thai player Palistha Kakshapati was honored with a cash prize yesterday. Palistha had been provided the prize sponsored by young entrepreneur and ex-player, Praful Shrestha, who is currently living in Australia.
Palistha had won a gold in the 19th Muay Thai World Championship held in Thailand in 2019. 13-year-old Palistha had bagged the gold in 30 kg weight category. Earlier, she had won three golds in three different versions of Indo-Nepal Muay Thai competitions organized in Nepal.
Deepak Shrestha, president of Nepal National and International Players Association, handed her the prize in a special ceremony .President of Nepal National Muay Thai Association Ganesh Lal Kakshyapati was also present in the function.
Recipient of the award Palistha remarked that the prize had encouraged her to improve her game. She believed that it would inspire other players too.
