Kathmandu. Famous music composer AR Rahman has been selected as the BAFTA Breakthrough Ambassador from India. He was selected by the British Academy of Film and Television (BAFTA) to support and celebrate films and talents across India.
According to an article in The Indian Express, the new initiative will support five talents working in films, games or tv. Amanda Berry OBE, Chief Executive of BAFTA said that Rahman shared the team’s views of recognizing talent and given his body of work, he could appeal a larger share of audience in India.
AR Rahman also revealed that he was thrilled to be a part of BAFTA’s initiative and is looking forward from talents from India that would be showcased on a global stage.
