Agitating side announces second phase of struggle against HoR dissolution

Kathmandu. Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Prachanda-Nepal faction has announced the second phase of protest programs against the dissolution of the House of Representatives (HoR).

Organizing a news conference today, the NCP Central Struggle Committee released the protest programs.

The NCP would organize party’s gatherings and orientations in local levels until January 4 and in ward-level until January 12.

Similarly, struggle committees would be formed in the province, district, local level and ward until January 9 while interaction programs with different political parties would be organized in the federal parliament and major cities on January 5 and with civil society on December 7. Similarly, protest note would be submitted to the Prime Minister through all the district administration offices on January 8.

According to the Struggle Committee, grand assembly of the cadres would be conducted in Sudurpaschim, Province No. 1 and Lumbini on January 11, in Province No. 2, Gandaki and Karnali on January 12 and in Bagmati on January 13.

Likewise, nationwide orientation and pamphlets distribution would be conducted along with hoisting the black flag to protest the unconstitutional and regressive move to dissolve the parliament.

Similarly, constituency-level cadres’ meet would be organized on January 13 and protest rallies in the ward-level on January 14 while protests in all local levels on 18 January and motorcycle rallies in Kathmandu and major cities on January 23.

Furthermore, demonstrations would be held in Province No. 1, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim on January 29 and in Province No. 2 on January 30 and nationwide torch rally on February 4.

Party’s spokesperson and coordinator of the struggle committee Narayan Kaji Shrestha shared that demonstration and mass meeting would be conducted on February 5 in Katmandu.

Shrestha said that the NCP announced the programs for protest to safeguard the Constitution of Nepal and democracy as decision on joint agitation with other parties was not made despite the preparations.

According to Shrestha, the protests would continue until the HoR was reinstated. (RSS)
