Kathmandu, May 4. American multi-tech company “Google” is preparing to make changes to its online storage policies that will enable the firm to delete the personal files of its users without needing any permission.

Earlier in December, the tech giant had announced that the changes will be a part of serious spring cleaning “when users stop using its services without bothering to inform google”. The services include Photos, Gmail, and Drive (including Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drawings, Forms, and Jamboard files).

The users who remain inactive for more than 2 years might notice things disappearing from their online storage. Moreover, the firm will also delete the files, if the users exceed their maximum storage limit for more than 24 months.

However, the users will be given 2 years to comply with the new adjustments. Although the changes will be introduced on June 1, 2021, the new policies shall come into effect two years later from June 1, 2023.
