Nepali runners flying to Bangladesh for “International Marathon”

Kathmandu, January 6. Bangladesh is hosting the “Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Dhaka Marathon” on January 10.

Nepali athletes, Pushpa Bhandari, Kiran Singh Bogati Rajwar, and Narendra Singh Rawat will participate in the international competition.

Nepal has been actively participating in international marathons. In the previous edition of the Dhaka marathon, Pushpa had won the gold medal whereas Kiran received the consolation prize.

The team led by Coach Chandra Bahadur Gurung is flying to Dhaka next week. In order to wish good luck, the National Sports Council organized a special event inside the premises of the Sports Ministry in Singha Durbar.

Sports Minister Maheshwar Jung Gahatraj attended the event as a chief guest.
