Kathmandu, March 26. Different Chinese streaming platforms such as Tencent Video and iQiyi have taken down movies of Keanu Reeves. This was done after Reeves participated in a concert in Tibet; that was organized by a non-profit organization founded by Dalai Lama.

It is reported that at least 19 of his movies were pulled from Tencent Video. Most of his famous movies including The Matrix, Speed, and John Wick have been removed.

Moreover, some content of his movie Matrix were still available in WeChat, while searches for his English name and Chinese translation could not be found.

Reeves received more criticism online since he decided to attend the concert. He participated in the concert virtually due to covid restrictions.

Dalai Lama is in exile in India. He is accused by China of spreading the idea of separatism in Tibet.
