Nepal suffers early setback against Kuwait in ACC Premier Cup Semi-Final

Kathmandu, April 29. Nepal faced a setback in the semi-final match of the ACC Premier Cup cricket tournament against Kuwait as they lost their third wicket after scoring 81 runs in 13 overs, according to sources. The match is being played at the TU cricket ground in Kirtipur.

Nepal had a promising start with both openers scoring at a strike rate of over 100 percent. However, Kushal Bhurtel and Aasif Shiekh departed within a span of two overs after making 43 and 31 runs respectively. Bhim Sarki was the second batsman out after scoring just one run off four balls. Captain Rohit Kumar Paudel and Kushal Malla are currently on the crease.

Kuwaiti captain Mohammad Aslam won the toss and elected to field first. Nepal’s playing-11 comprises Rohit Kumar Paudel, Kushal Bhurtel, Dipendra Singh Airi, Aasif Sheikh, Kushal Malla, Aarif Sheikh, Sompal Kami, Lalit Narayan Rajbanshi, Karan KC, Sandeep Lamichhane, and Bhim Sarki.

Meanwhile, at Mulpani Cricket Ground, Oman and United Arab Emirates (UAE) are competing against each other in the second semi-final match, media reports suggest.
