Kathmandu, May 23. The Nepal Tourism Board (NTB), in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation, officially launched the ‘Hop On, Hop off bus service’ starting on Tuesday.

NTB Chief Executive Officer Dr. Dhananjaya Regmi informed reporters that the initiative aims to enhance tourism experiences and provide convenient access to the UNESCO world heritage sites in Kathmandu.

“The ‘hop on, hop off bus’ service will commence from Lalitpur Metropolitan City and offer mobile transportation along routes connecting the Kathmandu Durbar Square, Narayanhiti Durbar Museum, Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath, and Swayambhu,” Regmi said.

He further explained, “two buses will operate in each area, with a frequency of approximately every half an hour to 45 minutes. Initially, the service will be free for a few days, and later a fare system will be introduced.”
