Canadian PM Condemns Attack on Hindu Temple in Brampton

Kathmandu, Nov 4: A Hindu temple in Brampton, Toronto, was attacked on Sunday, prompting Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to condemn the incident.

Trudeau addressed the issue on X, stating, “The violence at the Hindu Sabha temple in Brampton is unacceptable. Every Canadian has the right to practice their religion freely and safely.” Regional police are investigating the incident to ensure community safety.

Canada’s Hindu MP, Chandra Arya, shared a video of the attack, attributing it to Khalistani extremists. He stated, “This attack on Hindu-Canadian devotees at the Brampton temple demonstrates the deep roots of Khalistani violent extremism in Canada.” Arya urged Hindu-Canadians to protect their communities and hold officials accountable.
