Repair Work Begins at Drinking Water Ministry After Fire Damage

Kathmandu, Feb 8: Repair work has begun at the Ministry of Drinking Water following a fire that caused significant damage this morning. Deputy Prime Minister and Urban Development Minister Prakashman Singh visited the ministry today to oversee the situation.

The fire, which caused an estimated loss of Rs 5 million, destroyed several items, including two televisions, a desktop computer, a water heater, office furniture, and a closed-circuit camera monitor. Three rooms, including the office of Minister Yadav, were severely damaged in the fire. The Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport, which is housed in the same building, was also affected.
