Prime Minister’s Cup: Tribhuvan Army, Karnali, and APF Secure Wins

Kathmandu, March 21: Tribhuvan Army Club, Karnali Province, and APF Club secured victories in their respective matches in the Prime Minister’s Cup National Men’s ODI Tournament on Friday.
In a match played at Deukhuri International Cricket Stadium, Lamhi, Tribhuvan Army Club defeated Gandaki Province by six wickets. Chasing a target of 117 runs, Army reached 118/4 in 26.5 overs, with Tritraj Das scoring the highest 37 runs. Earlier, Gandaki was bowled out for 116 runs in 30.3 overs, with Arjun Kumal contributing 33 runs.
At the Extra Tech Oval, Rupandehi, Karnali Province registered an 81-run victory over Madhesh Province. After opting to bat first, Karnali posted 221 runs, with Dipendra Rawat top-scoring at 61 runs. In response, Madhesh Province was bowled out for 139 runs in 35.2 overs, with Rupesh Singh scoring 30 runs.
Meanwhile, at Siddhartha Cricket Ground, Rupandehi, Armed Police Force (APF) Club defeated Far-Western Region by three wickets. APF chased down a target of 192 runs in 36.3 overs, losing seven wickets along the way. Sandeep Jorale was the top scorer for APF with 51 runs.
The Prime Minister’s Cup is being played in a round-robin format and features three departmental teams: Tribhuvan Army Club, APF Club, and Nepal Police Club. The tournament will continue until March.
