Chemical fertilizer import failure: Shailung, Muktinath  face action

Kathmandu. The Agricultural Inputs Company has taken action against Shailung Enterprises and Muktinath Agriculture Company. Action was taken against these companies as they failed to supply the chemical fertilizer on time.

According to company manager Nendra Bahadur Bhandari, the company management committee meeting on Monday decided to take action against these companies.

Shailung Enterprises had three separate contracts to import a total of 80,000 metric tons of urea within the last nine months while Muktinath Agriculture Company  had to import 25,000 metric tons of urea and 30,000 metric tons of DAP.

Both companies failed to import chemical fertilizer in the stipulated time. The companies’ deposit has been seized and a recommendation made to black list them through the public procurement monitoring office. (RSS)
