Tourism Minister orders to bulldoze illegal huts in Pashupati

Kathmandu, January 30. Nepali culture and tourism minister Prem Bahadur Ale on Sunday instructed the officials to remove huts that have been illegally built on the lands of pashupatinath temple.

During an inspection visit to Pashupatinath premise, Ale told reporters that hut like cottages have been built through encroaching government lands in the Guheshwori area.

He further explained, “Many of the properties in the area were leased without the Pashupati Area Development Trust’s approval, and this tendency will come to an end.”

Ale also set a deadline of 15 days for the huts to be removed by the trust and local authority.
