9 of the same family dead in Syangja landslide

Waling. Ten people have died in Syangja due to landslides today. Nine of the same family have died in Tamadi of Waling-14 and one at Kaligandaki VDC-4.
Although the whole 10-member family had been buried in the landslide at Tamadi, dead bodies of 9 were recovered and 16-year-old Manisa Nepali was rescued alive. She was sent to Garhaun Primary Hospital at Waling. according to DSP Rajendra Prasad Adhikari, spokesperson of Syangja Police. She has been transferred to Pokhara for further treatment.
Nepal Police, Armed Police and local people and their representatives are carrying the rescue operation. Continuous landslide from above the site has, however, hindered the process.
