Kathmandu, March 6: The political parties in Nepal has agreed to move forward with the impeachment motion against Chief Justice Cholendra Shumser JB Rana.
According to Federal Parliament Secretariat Spokesperson Dr Rojnath Pande, political parties agreed to form an 11-member recommendation committee to study the proposal and present a report within the next three months.
The decision was made today at a meeting of the Business Advisory Committee summoned by Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota.
While Chief Justice Rana faced impeachment motion since February 13, the recent decision will put forward the proposal of impeachment in the agenda of the House of Representatives (HoR) today.
