Kathmandu, April 21. Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director General of the World Health Organization (WHO), arrived in Nepal on Thursday afternoon.
Tedros is expected to pay courtesy calls on President Bidya Devi Bhandari, Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, National Assembly Chairperson Ganesh Prasad Timilsina, Minister for Health and Population Birodh Khatiwada, and Foreign Minister Narayan Khadka during his visit.
Further, he is scheduled to visit Patan Secondary School, Hanumandhoka Durbar Square, and Patan Durbar, as well as observe the typhoid vaccination campaign and inspect the National Public Health Laboratory.
His three-day goodwill visit will be wrapped up on April 23.
