Kathmandu, July 31. The Marshyangdi hydropower plant in Tanahu district’s Anbu Khaireni has recently begun operating at a full capacity of 69 Megawatts.

“Due to adequate rainfall, the water level in the Marshyangdi river has risen, allowing all three turbine units of the hydropower to run at full capacity,” Project Chief Badri Phuyal told reporters.

“Only 40 megawatts of power could be generated by the hydroelectric system last winter when the water level dropped,” Phuyal added.
