Pakistan’s former prime minister Imran Khan’s plane makes emergency landing

Kathmandu, September 11. A plane carrying former prime minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan made an emergency landing on Saturday. Such a landing was made due to a technical glitch, according to media reports.

A leader of Khan’s party, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI), Azhar Mashwani clarified it was due to “bad weather.” The clarification came after some media reported of Khan escaping a plane crash due to technical glitch.

Further, Khan was headed for Punjab’s Gujranwala city to address a gathering. He took the road to reach the destination after the incident.

Moreover, Khan’s security vehicle caught fire in Islamabad earlier this month, according to The Express Tribune. But Khan remained unharmed by the incident.
