Leader Poudel honored with Japanese decoration ‘Grand Cordon of Order of the Rising Sun’
Kathmandu, December 15. Senior leader of Nepali Congress Ram Chandra Poudel was honored by the government of Japan.
Further, leader Poudel was decorated with the title, ‘Grand Cordon of Order of the Rising Sun’ by the Embassy of Japan at his residence on Thursday. He was honored for his contribution towards activating contacts between parliamentarians of Nepal and Japan as well as strengthening the relations between both countries.
While he was actively involved in promoting Nepal-Japan bilateral relations, Nepal-Japan Parliamentary League was formed in 1999 through his initiation.
While his decoration was announced in 2020, such decorations are given to personalities promoting political, diplomatic, social and other relations between the two countries.
