Nearly 4 lakh ballot papers printed for upcoming HOR by-elections: Election Commission

Kathmandu, April 12. The Election Commission announced on Tuesday that it has completed printing 390,000 ballot papers for the upcoming House of Representative (HoR) by-elections scheduled to take place on April 23.

“The Janak Education Materials Centre was responsible for printing 116,000 ballot papers for Bara Constituency No. 2, 136,000 ballot papers for Tanahun-1, and 138,000 ballot papers for Chitwan-2,” EC Official told reporters.

To ensure the safe transportation of the ballot papers, the Election Commission has implemented necessary security provisions. The printed ballot papers will be transported to their respective constituencies starting from Wednesday.

These by-elections were called due to vacancies in Bara Constituency No. 2, Tanahun-1, and Chitwan-2.
