Monsoon to be guest for one more week
Kathmandu. With news and stories about floods and landslides, people are in a hurry to get rid of monsoon this year. Meteorological Forecasting Division says it will stay one more week.
Generally, monsoon exits Nepal on September 23. For the last few years it has been the first week of October.
Last year it was, first week of October and it is following the same trend this year, according to meteorologist Nirajan Sapkota. “The exit has already begun from the western parts of the country. It will take a few more days, a week utmost, for the eastern clouds to end their journey,” he said.
The weather will be generally cloudy in State 1, Bagmati state, Gandaki state and State 5 tonight and partly cloudy in the rest of the states with the possibility of light rain in some places of State 1, Bagmati state, Gandaki state, Karnali state and State 5.
As per the Meteorological Forecasting Division’s weather update, the minimum temperature recorded today was in Jumla at 12.6 degrees Celsius and the highest temperature of 34.7 degrees Celsius was recorded in Nepalgunj.
