No hordes, no sacrificial billies this Dashain
Janakpurdham. The religious shrines of Dhanusha will provide a different spectacle this year than ever. A meeting of all concerned members of society at District Administration Office (DAO) Dhanusha has endorsed a decision of prohibiting all activities that would attract public gathering, which means forbiddance of elaborate pujas, billy goat sacrifices and reveling crowds.
Janaki Temple attracts a lot of visitors during the festivals of Dashain and Tihar.
The notice issued by the office gives permission to conduct only brief ‘Kshama Pujas’ at the holy shrines.The meeting was attended by members of the Provincial Assembly, representatives of political parties, heads of security agencies and representatives of municipalities, Guthi Sansthan and local clubs.
