Kathmandu, July 18 : The National Luminary Bhimsen Thapa Memorial Foundation has announced that this year’s Bhimsen Thapa Memorial Award will be bestowed upon the National Innovation Centre, founded by Mahabir Pun. The decision was reached during a meeting of the Foundation held today, chaired by Prof. Dr. Parthibeswor Timilsina, the Foundation Chairperson.
The prestigious award will be presented to the National Innovation Centre on July 25, coinciding with the 249th birth anniversary of Bhimsen Thapa, as per the information provided by Laxman Thapa, the Secretary of the Foundation.
The Bhimsen Thapa Memorial Award carries a prize of Rs 100,000. Last year, the award was conferred upon the Bhakti Thapa Memorial Foundation. (RSS)
