RSP Chairman Criticizes Government for Lack of Parliamentary Business
Bharatpur, July 29: Chairman of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), Rabi Lamichhane, has blamed the government that it failed to give business to parliament. Talking to media persons at Bharatpur airport here today, Chairman Lamichhane viewed parliament was not getting business at a time when country was in need of several laws. “Government however seems active in case of corruption control. There are some positive signals on it. But, these are not sufficient,” Chairman Lamichhane said, adding that there are several indicators to evaluate government performance.
Furthermore, Chairman Lamichhane commented on the government’s performance regarding gold smuggling. He expressed dissatisfaction, asserting that the government did not meet expectations in handling the issue, as only porters were arrested while the owners remained at large.
On a different topic, he asserted that his party is committed to keeping wrong elements and individuals out and would not permit their entry. (RSS)
