Kathmandu, Apr 9: The display of power by the RPP escalated in Kathmandu as protesters clashed with police after attempting to enter restricted areas. The demonstration, initiated on Tuesday, aimed to move from Bhadrakali to Maitighar Mandala via Singha Durbar but was met with tear gas and water cannons from authorities. Several protesters sustained injuries during the confrontation.
The RPP had launched a phased movement on February 9, presenting a 40-point demand letter to the Prime Minister.
