Kathmandu, Oct 30: Bangladesh secured the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) Women’s Championship title by defeating Nepal 2-1 in the final held at Dasharath Stadium, Tripureshwar.
Bangladesh took the lead in the 52nd minute, but Nepal’s Amisha Karki equalized just three minutes later. However, in the 80th minute, Bangladesh scored again, regaining a 2-1 lead that Nepal could not overcome.
This marks Bangladesh’s second consecutive SAFF Women’s Championship title, having also defeated Nepal in the 2022 final. For Nepal, this is the sixth loss in a SAFF final.
