Kathmandu, Nov 1: Manchester United has officially appointed Ruben Amorim as head coach until June 2027. The 39-year-old Portuguese manager, previously with Sporting CP, will assume his role on November 11.
Amorim replaces former coach Erik ten Hag, who was dismissed following a string of disappointing performances. Reports indicate United paid Sporting CP a €10 million exit clause to secure Amorim.
Known for his expressive playing style and 3-4-3 formation, Amorim led Sporting to two league titles and a total of five trophies since taking charge in 2020.
