Kathmandu, Nov 5: Buddha Air has released a flight guide following reduced operating hours due to the ongoing upgrades at Tribhuvan International Airport, which are expected to last five months from October 23. The airport has issued a “Notice to Air Man” (NOTAM), restricting flights between 10 pm and 8 am to accommodate this maintenance.

According to Buddha Air spokesperson Dipendra Kumar Karna, the winter flight schedule aligns with seasonal challenges such as fog and low visibility, which often affect operations. The airline notes that Instrument Flight Radar (IFR) flights must be completed by 10 pm, while Visual Flight Rules (VFR) flights depend on daylight visibility.

The airline advises passengers to check in at counters on time and mentions potential flight cancellations due to adverse weather or air traffic delays. In such cases, ticket rescheduling will depend on seat availability, with refunds for canceled flights processed within three to four days. Buddha Air recommends that passengers with international connections book flights with ample time gaps or an extra day in advance.
