Islamabad, May 2: In the wake of the Pahalgam terrorist attack, tensions between India and Pakistan have escalated, prompting a cultural backlash on both sides.

The Indian government has banned all Pakistani artists and blocked their social media accounts. Additionally, 16 Pakistani YouTube channels have been banned from operating in India.

In response, Pakistan has halted the broadcasting of Indian songs on FM radio stations across the country. The decision was announced by Pakistan Broadcasters Association (PBA) General Secretary Shakeel Masood, who confirmed that the measure has been implemented with immediate effect.

Pakistan’s Information Minister Ataullah Tarar lauded the move, calling it a patriotic gesture. In a letter to the PBA, he stated that the decision reflects the nation’s unity and its commitment to upholding national values during challenging times.
