Kathmandu, May 26: US President Donald Trump has lashed out at Russian President Vladimir Putin, calling him “crazy” for continuing missile and drone attacks on Ukrainian cities. The comments came through a post on Trump’s Truth Social platform, where he also criticized Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and former US President Joe Biden.

“I’ve always had a very good relationship with Vladimir Putin,” Trump wrote, “but he’s got something. He’s killing a lot of people for no reason, and I’m not just talking about soldiers.” He emphasized that Russia’s attacks on Ukraine’s cities were senseless and warned that Putin might want “the whole of Ukraine,” adding, “If he does, it will lead to the collapse of Russia!”

Trump also took a swipe at Zelensky, saying the Ukrainian leader’s tone and words were unhelpful and counterproductive. “Everything that comes out of his mouth creates problems,” Trump said.

He further blamed Biden for mishandling the situation, stating that the war “would never have started” if Trump were in office. “This is not a war between Zelensky, Putin, and Biden,” Trump wrote. “It’s a crisis caused by incompetence and hatred.”

Trump concluded by saying he is considering more sanctions against Russia in response to the ongoing conflict.
