Lebanon and Israel Ambassadors to Hold Talks in Washington Amid Ongoing Conflict

Kathmandu, April 14: The ambassadors of Lebanon and Israel are set to meet in Washington for talks hosted by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio at the State Department.

Israeli Ambassador Yechiel Leiter and Lebanese Ambassador Nada Hamadeh Moad are expected to discuss efforts aimed at ending the ongoing conflict in southern Lebanon.

According to Lebanon’s health ministry, the conflict has displaced millions of people, with over 2,000 deaths and more than 6,500 injuries reported so far.

Meanwhile, Hezbollah leader Naim Qassem has urged Lebanon to cancel the meeting, reiterating the group’s opposition to direct talks with Israel.
