40 years old Lumbini master plan expected to accelerate

Siddharthanagar. After Sanu Raja Shakya was appointed as the Member Secretary of Lumbini Development Trust by the government, during his welcome program on Wednesday. Shakya said that he is committed to work on making Lumbini a smart city during his 4 years of tenure.
During the welcome program, Vice-Chairman of the trust, Venerable Metteyya Sakyaputta opined that the appointment of a Member Secretary would play a valuable role in making the Lumbini Master Plan, which began 40 years ago, effective and timely. The information officer of the trust, Gyanin Rai, who had previously acted as the secretary for 3 years, praised the decision taken by the government.
In the past, Shakya, a resident of Kathmandu, had worked as a member of Yuwa Baudha Samuha and has published various articles on contemporary issues and Buddhist studies.
